Description
CD Box DS2 uses a quality AK4490 DAC chip known for its sonic merits. It offers four digital inputs and can be used as a stand-alone DAC in addition to a conventional CD player. The USB input offers high resolution file support for PCM up to 32bit/384kHz and even DSD256. The optical and coaxial inputs can be used with 24bit/192kHz files. CD Box DS2 also offers digital filters to shape sonics to your liking; five filters for PCM files as well as two filters for DSD can be selected. It also offers two digital outputs for digital bypass and of course, a line level RCA output. CD Box DS2 is a delight for any modern music lover looking for future-proof versatility in a sound-first CD player.
*If you notice that your CD Box DS2 has 1 isolation foot that’s different from the rest, don’t be alarmed! This is done deliberately. The harder foot acts as an anchor for the player while the softer feet absorb vibration from the transport. It’s a basic ‘suspension’ that enhances isolation from resonance that could negatively impact sonics!
