Description
The Pro-Ject Audio Systems CD Box S3 is the perfect solution for those seeking a compact high performance player to spin their collection of silver discs.
Inside the unit’s solid aluminum casework you’ll find a high performance slot-load mechanism that’s designed for perfect playback of your compact discs. Unlike most CD players that utilize a “universal” mechanism, the CD Box S3’s CD transport is purpose-built for the highest fidelity 1:1 playback of compact discs, and ONLY compact discs.
Control of the CD Box S3 is easily accomplished using either the aluminum-cap front panels buttons, or the included remote control. For maximum readability the 1.54” OLED display can be switched from dark numbers on a pale background or pale numbers on a dark background- perfect for late night listening.
In the event you’d like to use the CD Box S3 with an upgraded digital to analog converter (such as our award winning Pre Box S2 Digital) a coaxial digital output is provided.
Like all models in Pro-Ject’s S Series, the CD Box S3 is hand-crafted in Europe for many years of enjoyment. Both black and silver finishes are available.

Reviews
“That nuanced rendering enabled me to enjoy a feeling of hearing CDs anew because I could follow individual instruments — and vocalists as well — more throughout a song, making the sum of the parts sound more robust; hearing bigger, better bass lines from the stand-mount Paradigm speakers impressed me.” – Arlen Schweiger, CEPro
“With ‘Not Fade Away,’ I was really impressed by the popping clarity of the recording, not to mention the spot-on dynamics. I couldn’t help noticing the saturated sound of Jerry Garcia’s and Bob Weir’s onstage amps, the exceptional attack of the percussion, and the exquisite decay of Jerry’s guitar and Phil Lesh’s bass.” Dennis Burger, SoundStage!
