Description

Made to commemorate The Beatles’ historic 1964 tour that spread Beatlemania across America, this limited edition turntable is a stunning work of art that sounds as good as it looks. The tonearm’s carbon armtube is ultra-stiff and reduces unwanted resonance. Carbon fiber is a material normally found in high-end tonearms, but manufacturing in-house means Pro-Ject can offer this design on more affordable machines. Together with other improvements like the Acryl it platter upgrade, the overall sound quality eclipses what you’d normally find in this class. The belt-drive design offers a low-noise AC motor with effective motor decoupling (TPE-suspended) and an ultra-precise DC-driven AC generator for ultimate speed stability. Electronic speed change (“Speed Box” technology) accommodates 45rpm discs and 78rpm (78s with the appropriate 33/78rpm motor pulley & belt). A simple exchange of stylus to Ortofon’s 2M 78 (not included) is also needed for playing 78s.
